WHAT IS MECHATRONICS ENGINEERING?

Mechatronics Engineering is a design process that combines mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, telecommunications engineering, control engineering, computer engineering, robotics, product design, and manufacturing to improve and/or optimise the product's functionality. FOR DETAILS PLEASE CLICK HERE

Nature of Job

Mechatronics is a new, interdisciplinary field that combines precision mechanical engineering, electronic control, and systems thinking in the design of products and manufacturing processes. That is, it rejects splitting engineering into separate disciplines. Originally, it just included the combination of mechanics and electronics; hence, the word is a combination of mechanics + electronics = Mechatronics. However, as technical systems have become increasingly complex, the word has been broadened to include more technical areas.

WHAT IS THE CABIN CREW PROGRAM?

Cabin Crew (Air Hostess) are required on board aircraft to ensure passenger safety. The effectiveness of cabin crew in fulfilling their safety-related duties can only be achieved through proper training.

Training may never duplicate all the types of situations that may confront cabin crew in the performance of their duties on board an aircraft. Nevertheless, training can instil the basic knowledge, skills, attitudes and confidence that will allow cabin crew to handle emergencies.

Cabin Crew (Air Hostess) are unique among airline personnel because they essentially have two distinct responsibilities on board an aircraft.

  • The most important, but least visible, responsibility of cabin crew (Air Hostess) is ensuring the safety of passengers and the aircraft cabin. This is a major responsibility and requires that they undergo specialised and thorough training not only to gain a sound knowledge of their safety-related responsibilities but also to instil in them complete confidence and to provide them with the authority needed to perform their duties.

  • The second and most visible duty of cabin crew is their role as their airline’s public relations officers, attending to passengers’ needs and, in general, creating a favourable impression of their airline through friendly, efficient service.

WHAT IS AN AME (AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING)?

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) is a licensing program in which a candidate must complete a 2-year academic program at an AME training school approved by the DGCA, Government of India.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) involves inspecting aircraft before flight, testing and troubleshooting aircraft systems. After taking admission in AME training schools, the candidate will gain knowledge of aircraft and related systems. Aircraft have various systems, such as the hydraulic, air-conditioning, pressurisation, avionics, landing gear, and propulsion systems. In two years, students are supposed to undergo both theoretical and practical training.

Admission Criteria for AME ADMISSION

To take admission in AME, a candidate should satisfy the following criteria.

  1. Applicant should be 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, or equivalent, an AICTE-approved 3-year engineering diploma in any stream or any higher qualification in science with Physics and Mathematics at the time of admission.
  2. Applicants who are eligible for admission in B.Tech Courses are also eligible for the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering program.
  3. There should not be Colour blindness as vision should be normal, and there should be no physical disabilities.

WHAT IS AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING?

Basically, aeronautical involves the activity of designing, developing and constructing of machine planes that can fly, commonly known as aircraft.

Aeronautical engineers are primarily responsible for developing safer, more energy-efficient, and more cost-effective methods of travel, including aircraft, helicopters, satellites, missiles, and spacecraft. These include the science of propulsion and aerodynamics, and it covers the development and selection of materials and equipment that are utilised in aircraft.

Aero Engineers are part of the designing process to make the fastest vehicle. E.g., Aeroplanes that weigh over a million pounds can take off into the air, and spacecraft travel at 17.000 miles per hour.

WHAT AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERS DO?

Aeronautical engineers bring a concept into reality by emphasising the design of aerofoils (wings). Propulsion is another aspect of aeronautical engineering. The force of propulsion helps an aeroplane to remain in flight, and encompasses the design and development of engines. These two basic principles are considered when choosing the material for aircraft design, strength and weight. The selection of material is a crucial area of specialisation for aeronautical engineering.

As an Aeronautical Engineering graduate, you can specialise in any areas, including Structural designing, Flight mechanics and control systems, Aerodynamics, Instrumentation and communication, Manufacturing and maintenance.

WHAT IS THE INTEGRATED PROGRAM OF AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING & AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING?

An integrated course is a combined course of B.Tech (Aeronautical Engineering) and Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, in which students will appear for two separate examinations for the issuance of the Degree and License. Both the courses will be running parallel to each other, at the end of four years students will have both B.Tech (Aeronautical Engineering) & Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, their by making him eligible for both manufacturing as well Maintenance jobs related to aircrafts. This will also enhance placement probabilities, as we will be able to apply to all types of jobs in the aviation industry, whether manufacturing- or maintenance-related.

WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN FOR AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING / AME / INTEGRATED COURSE OF AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING + AME / CABIN CREW PROGRAM?

  1. Engineers in the Aviation sector are considered high-class engineers with excellent salary packages. In India, there is a skill shortage of aircraft engineers. The number of jobs in the Aviation sector exceeds the available trained, employable manpower.
  2. These are the following factors why a candidate should join Aviation Courses:
  3. India is the fastest-growing aviation market in the world
  4. Air traffic growth is 25% annually, with more than 1,100 new aircraft orders in the pipeline.
  5. International players in the field of Aviation are opening new ventures. The main reason behind it is the availability of trained and skilled manpower.
  6. India is going to be an MRO Hub; Boeing and Airbus are going to set up their MRO operations there. The MROs will require more Aircraft Engineers (Aeronautical Engineers & AME), so the demand for Aeronautical Engineers & AME will increase.
  7. Uber plans to launch Air Taxi in India by 2020.
  8. Qatar Airlines, along with other airlines, is in the pipeline with plans to bring more than 100 aircraft to India.
  9. There is already a shortage of aircraft engineers (Aeronautical Engineers & AME) in the World. There is a requirement of 7,54,000 trained manpower worldwide.
  10. The UDAN scheme is boosting careers in aviation (Aeronautical Engineering & AME). The UDAN Scheme makes airfare affordable for common people to travel. The drastic increase in domestic passenger traffic is evident, resulting in a rise in Aviation Jobs (Aeronautical Engineering & AME).
  11. India is the third-largest aviation market in the world, after America and China. India comprises very hardworking and passionate people who can make India proud. The career opportunities for Aeronautical Engineers and AME are thereby increasing.
  12. India took its first step toward manufacturing civil aircraft, increasing opportunities for Aircraft Engineers.
  13. India is now the best market to invest in, as it is developing its aviation sector very quickly. All this results in an increase in jobs in the Aviation Sector (Aeronautical Engineers & AME)
