Training for the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME Admission) program at SOA has been approved by the DGCA. The license Examination is conducted by the DGCA. The training at the institute lasts 2 years, divided into 4 semesters.
These 2 Years have 2400 Hrs of planned training, out of which 2050 Hrs will be in classrooms and labs, and 350 will be in the actual maintenance environment, i.e at MRO. School of Aeronautics has tied up with Air India, which is India’s largest MRO. Total Aviation Experience requirement to obtain B 1.1 or B2 license is as per CAR 66.
Different types of Avionics & Mechanical workshops provide students with the opportunity to study various theories & practices of aircraft Avionics & Mechanical systems. In short, SOA provides all the facilities to make a student a successful Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.

Aeronautical Engineering involves the design, development, and construction of aircraft that can fly.
The Aeronautical Engineers are primarily responsible for developing safer, more energy-efficient, and more cost-effective methods of travel, including aircraft, helicopters, satellites, missiles, and spacecraft. These include the science of propulsion and aerodynamics, as well as the development and selection of materials and equipment used in aircraft.
Aero Engineers are part of the designing process to make the fastest vehicle. E.g., Aeroplanes that weigh over a million pounds can take off into the air and spacecraft travel 17.000 miles an hour.

School of Aeronautics was established in 1992. Since then, we have been providing world-class Aviation Education in various disciplines like Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME Admission) & Cabin Crew.
All the labs in college are well-equipped with modern, highly sophisticated testing equipment. In total, there are 26 labs, catering to the needs of students of Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering & Integrated Course of Aeronautical Engineering + Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.
India has become the third-largest Aviation market in the world after the US and China, with very high passenger growth. According to IATA, India is expected to be the first Aviation Market by 2030. Due to the government's liberalisation policies, there has been tremendous growth in India's aviation industry. Many private airlines and corporations, viz GoAir, IndiGo, Jet Airways, SpiceJet, Vistara, etc., are operating today with very good operating revenues. India is also the fastest-growing Aviation market. According to IATA, around 726 aircraft will be inducted into the Indian Aviation industry in the next 5 years. If we talk about Boeing, India’s demand for aircraft will touch 1740 over the next 20 years. With the India Aviation Policy 2016, regional connectivity is increasing day by day, and many regional airlines have already started operating, with many more in the pipeline. At present, regional airlines alone operate 70 aircraft. India's aviation market is growing at an annual rate of 11%.
With the Make in India initiative of the Government of India, many aircraft manufacturers have approached the government to set up manufacturing units in India and have successfully entered into tie-ups with existing units in the country. Boeing and Airbus are also entering the manufacturing sector in India. With such a huge expansion in the Indian Aviation sector, there will be a need for approximately 3.3 Lac trained manpower in Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME), Cabin Crew, and various other fields, such as flying. Keeping all this data in mind, SOA has developed one of the largest aviation colleges in Neemrana.

An integrated course is a combined course of B.Tech (Aeronautical Engineering) and Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, in which students will appear for two different examinations for the issuance of a Degree and a Licence. Both the courses will be running parallel to each other, at the end of four years students will have both B.Tech (Aeronautical Engineering) & Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, their by making him eligible for both manufacturing as well Maintenance jobs related to aircrafts. This will also enhance placement probabilities, as we will be able to apply to all types of jobs in the aviation industry, whether manufacturing- or maintenance-related.

It's really my good fortune to be part of such an institution where students are treated like family. In our days, we were watched by the Director, sir, for every activity we performed on campus or in the hostel. We used to celebrate all festivals together and extra classes till 10 pm to complete ED drawings with the Director sir. Pattanaik sir's classes and Dutta sir's dedication to achieving the syllabus are unforgettable. Beautiful library, labs and practical exposure, terrace to bunk classes & a lot. And last but not least, the grand celebration of Navratris with visits to the Chatarpur temples. I am still enjoying visiting the campus and meeting staff, especially the big smile of Madam Renu Saluja.
Always thankful to our faculties for building our future and making us successful. Always wish our institute a lot of success. SOA will continue to shine forever.
Best Regards
