India has become the third-largest Aviation market in the world after the US and China, with very high passenger growth. According to IATA, India is expected to be the first Aviation Market by 2030. Due to the government's liberalisation policies, India's aviation industry has experienced tremendous growth. Many private airlines and corporations, viz GoAir, IndiGo, Jet Airways, SpiceJet, Vistara, etc., are operating today with excellent operating revenues. India is also the fastest-growing Aviation market. According to IATA, around 726 aircraft will be inducted into the Indian Aviation industry in the next 5 years. If we talk about Boeing, India’s demand for aircraft will touch 1740 over the next 20 years. With the India Aviation Policy 2016, regional connectivity is increasing day by day, and many regional airlines have already started operating, with many more in the pipeline. At present, regional airlines alone operate 70 aircraft. India's aviation market is growing at an annual rate of 11%.
With the Government of India's Make in India initiative, many aircraft manufacturers have approached the government to set up manufacturing units in India and have successfully entered into tie-ups with existing units in the country. Boeing and Airbus are also entering the manufacturing sector in India. With such a huge expansion in the Indian Aviation sector, there will be a need for approximately 3.3 Lac trained manpower in Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME), Cabin Crew, and various other fields, such as flying. Keeping all this data in mind, SOA has developed one of the largest aviation colleges in Neemrana.
The Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) Admission Program at the School of Aeronautics(SOA)is approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India.
The AME License Examinations are conducted directly by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation(DGCA)in accordance with CAR-66 regulations.

Aeronautical Engineering is a core engineering discipline that deals with the design, development, testing, manufacturing, and maintenance of aircraft and aerospace systems. It primarily focuses on machines capable of flight within the Earth’s atmosphere, including aeroplanes and helicopters, and extends into aerospace and advanced flight technologies.
This field integrates aerodynamics, propulsion, aircraft structures, avionics, materials science, and maintenance engineering to create aircraft that are safer, lighter, faster, more fuel-efficient, and cost-effective.
Aeronautical engineers are responsible for innovation and safety in the aviation and aerospace industry. Their key roles include:
Designing and developing aircraft, helicopters, satellites, missiles, and spacecraft
Improving flight performance, fuel efficiency, and structural safety
Applying principles of aerodynamics and propulsion systems
Selecting and testing advanced aerospace materials and components
Supporting aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations
Participating in high-speed, heavy-lift, and next-generation aerospace projects
Modern aeronautical engineering enables aircraft weighing over a million pounds to take off safely, while spacecraft travel at speeds exceeding 17,000 miles per hour, demonstrating the power of engineering precision.

It's really my good fortune to be part of such an institution where students are treated like family. In our days, we were watched by the Director, sir, for every activity we performed on campus or in the hostel. We used to celebrate all festivals together and extra classes till 10 pm to complete ED drawings with the Director sir. Pattanaik sir's classes and Dutta sir's dedication to achieving the syllabus are unforgettable. Beautiful library, labs, practical exposure, terrace for bunk classes & a lot more. And last but not least, the grand celebration of Navratris with visits to the Chatarpur temples. I am still enjoying visiting the campus and meeting staff, especially the big smile of Madam Renu Saluja.
Always thankful to our faculties for building our future and making us successful. Always wish our institute a lot of success. SOA will continue to shine forever.
Best Regards
